Tasks are the individual items within each phase of a construction project that need to be completed in order to continue progress. Each task can sometimes be broken down into smaller subtasks that each need to be performed in order for the parent task to be completed. Tasks can also include dependencies, which means that one task needs to be completed before another task can begin.
Most often, tasks will include a due date (or date range for completion), subtasks, notes, and supporting images or documentation. Tasks are generally assigned to the appropriate people within a project and managed by a project manager.
