See the how BuildBook is continuing to simplify construction software with our latest features, product improvements, and bug fixes.
We continue to increase the performance and usability of the BuildBook Mobile App. That’s why we’re so fired up about this most recent update!
Task Manager inside the app has taken a big leap forward, creating a more fluid experience for pros and pro team members who are on the job site and need to create Tasks as they go!
Best ways to create a Task on the mobile app
Copying Task Lists was released just under a month ago, and the biggest feedback we received was, “What about a project schedule?”.
So our product team thought, yea … what about a schedule 🧐! That’s what lead us down the path to this newest feature enhancement, which gives our pros that exact ability! Taking the tedious work of rebuilding a Project Schedule and replacing it with just a few clicks of the mouse.
How can I copy a Schedule?
Once you've chosen a Schedule, we've made it easy for you to adjust the start date with two options.
For a full guide to the Schedule and Gantt Chart, read this help doc.
You might notice a total revamp to how you manage your contacts in BuildBook 🦺. The new “People” tab gives our pros a more centralized area to add, view, and manage all the people who interact with your company.
What’s new with People?
How can I invite a Person to a Project?
Using the same invitation process, pros can invite People from the Project dashboard. A new dropdown option is now available that allows you to invite an existing person to the project and assign them as a collaborator or client 😎.
If a Person does not currently exist and you are adding them for the first time when inviting them into a Project, an account will be created and searchable from the People tab.
Please note, if adding a Pro Team Member to your account, they are still managed from your Pro Team settings page.

Say goodbye to the cluttered mess of paper bill slips and hello to easy Bill-tracking.
If you've got that stack of bills piled up, this newest enhancement to your Financials tab is sure to declutter that mess. 🙏
This is just another step to help you fully operate your company inside of BuildBook. Connecting the financial data directly with the workflow of any ongoing project.
What can you do with this new feature?
🧾 Upload and store your bill statements
👀 Track down statements or records
🗓️ Assign payment due dates
✅ Understand which Bills have been paid or unpaid
💰 Track your Project's current costs
A few weeks ago we released Expenses, a new feature that allows BuildBook pros to document invoices and track a project's cost-to-date 💰. In addition, it provided the ability to add a Vendor to each Expense.
However, we knew it wouldn't be long until our pros would want a single space to manage and track a full list of Vendors. So, our product team got right to work and wouldn't you know it ... a new Vendor tab is here 🥰!
➡️ What you should know about Vendors
➡️ How to create and edit Vendors
Another great enhancement that is included in this release is the ability to create new Vendors when generating an Expense 😲.
Any time you create a new Expense and it is tied to a Vendor that does not already exist in your list, that company will automatically be added to your Vendor List. From there, you will have the ability to manage and edit that Vendor's profile and details. 👏
