Read MoreWe were extremely pleased with our experience building a new home on Keuka lake with Views and Vines Homes (Chris Hunt/Mary Hunt). This was our first experience building a new home and Chris was very patient, walking us through each and every step and answering the million questions we would always have. Chris was heavily involved with each step from the very beginning; advising us on architects, design aspects, optimizing the size of the lot with house/driveway placement. Chris is clearly an experienced project manager and organized the various steps of the build extremely well. Our build was completed during the height of COVID, during a time where there was significant supply chain issues on many items. Chris was very adept at planning ahead for this, adjusting where needed, and our build was finished largely on time and within our target budget. This was a considerably different experience from others who were building or remodeling during COVID, where most projects were behind schedule and over budget due to ballooning supply costs during this period. Our build was a second home, about an hour from our primary residence, and Chris kept us continually updated about progress and regularly sent photos. During weekends when we would drive down to check progress, Chris would regularly meet us at the site to give us updates in person. Chris also understood and appreciated our budget; he identified high priority areas to spend money and other areas where we were able to compromise to keep our build within our budget. When picking out finishes for the build, Mary Hunt was extremely helpful. She took time to understand our style and make recommendations or provide input whenever we asked. For example, we were struggling with our decision on floor samples and brought three options down one weekend. Mary met us at the house to see the options in the space with the lighting and talked through with us how each might look, to help facilitate our decision. After the build was completed, Chris remained involved and helping to coordinate related aspects for the build (e.g. stairs to the lake), and we felt like he was truly invested with how the ultimate final project turned out. Importantly, we always felt that our build was a priority to Chris, even though we know he had other projects going simultaneously!
