The client had a basement with an existing bedroom, bathroom, and living room. The basement also included an awkward area with a low ceiling due to a utility soffit. Objectives: - Redesign the space by removing the bedroom, expanding the living room, raising the ceiling, and reworking the soffit to make the corner area more usable. This also included creating a dry bar for their beverage fridges and a new wine cabinet. - Scrape the ceiling texture and refinish it to a smooth, flat surface. - Apply fresh paint throughout the entire space. - Collaborate with the client to source and install tile flooring that matched their aesthetic, to be used throughout the entire basement. - Refresh the bathroom with a new vanity, tile flooring, and a fresh coat of paint. - Create a bar behind the couch, utilizing the existing structural supports as decorative columns.
